I am Olga from Ukraine.
In my country we have many holidays during a year, many of them are celebrated in summer.
Such holidays include The Day of Constitution of Ukraine (June 28),
Ivana Kupala Holiday (July 7), Independence Day (August 24) and several religious holidays.
In Ukraine people have days off for these holidays.
In addition, schoolchildren have summer holidays from the beginning of June to September 1.
In Ukraine summer is associated with a pleasant time, vacations, good weather and fun.
Most people like this season and look forward to it.
Also we often go to the seaside or mountains during summer vacations.
In Japan there are also some opportunities to enjoy extended days off in summer.
As such, this year I had holidays from August 11 to August 15.
This period is quite hot in Japan and there was also a typhoon on August 13.
Many Japanese people prefer travelling somewhere during summer holidays.
The most popular destinations include sea resorts1, mountains2 and hot springs (onsens)3.
